Zordon taps five sharp teens—four athletic standouts and their brainy buddy Billy—to morph into the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and battle the wicked witch Rita Repulsa. She's just busted loose from her cosmic trash can prison on the moon, unleashing monsters and goons on Earth. The team gets a major boost when Tommy Oliver joins: he starts as Rita's brainwashed Green Ranger but flips sides after being freed, rocking the green power briefly before evolving further.
